Re: New nonsense
Sorry…didn’t mean to rant….just we see this crap with chicks and ducklings come spring and Easter. I never personify animals. I treat them with respect and in a humane manner whether they are a food source, work on the farm or a companion.

Re: New nonsense
TomK ur dead on. Don’t you just hate all this Christmas puppy stuff now happening on Kijiji…..they are not a box of chocolates. My daughters grabbed a poodle x Jack Russell pup from a farm they worked on. It was a “Christmas gift” for the wife…no one bothered to house train….got tossed out to the ba...

I don’t see evidence of that slight orange brown raising on your birds heads….my totally uneducated guess: they are female. By...
Re: Donkey
Isn’t that interesting. We just drove by there and both fields are full of donkeys and burros. Oh well….best of luck in your search.
Re: Donkey
Check out Primrose Donkey Sanctuary…..every time I drive by it I check out the gang…..

Re: A 'math' lesson on meat birds
We used to do 50 birds a season. Transported to just outside Elora for processing as there was no one in the Haldimand / Norfolk area that would do a small number. Basically a day out of our lives as we had to stay up there and wait for completion. Our math wasn’t so hot given our travel time etc. W...

Re: Chanteclers
I picked up some Partridge Chanteclers from Performance Poultry and they are developing into some nice birds. I know they are not the true heritage Chanteclers…..but I wanted them for their darker plumage.
